The Estes Park Winter Festival has been growing rapidly since its inception. Year one attracted 1500 guests, and year two (2011) boasted over 4,000! The tent inside and out was bursting with activity, which created quite a buzz for this coming year’s Festival. We have nearly doubled the size of the venue this year in anticipation of increased attendance. Our best guess for 2012 turnout is 6,500 people.
Marketing and advertising for this event is extensive. The Local Marketing District manages the advertising which includes a professional PR agency, radio and TV in Denver and the Front Range, online calendars and exclusive spots in local and national newspapers and magazines, both print and online. The Festival also has the support of every major business organization/association in town. We promote the Festival during the Halloween celebration in downtown Estes Park (attracts over 1500 people) and the Catch the Glow Parade the day after Thanksgiving (attracts over 5,000 people). We are doing ticket pre-sales and promotion through www.LocalWineEvents.com All together, we plan to have an even bigger event this year and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
The goals for the Festival are two-fold. --To promote Estes Park as a winter destination and to support the community of Estes Park by promoting local businesses, the community and non-profit organizations. The Festival is run collaboratively, with several organizations playing a part in the planning and execution of the various Festival-related events. Major sponsor organizations include Estes Area Lodging Association, Estes Park Wedding Association, Local Marketing District, Estes Park Visitor and Convention Bureau, Estes Valley Partners for Commerce and the Estes Park Business Association. Other local non-profits collaborating on the festival include: Estes Park Non-Profit Resource Center, Kiwanis Club, Families for Estes, Estes Park Library, the Estes Park Swim Team, Estes Park Observatory, Recycle Estes, Progressive Estes, Boy Scouts and many more. The Winter Festival is a non-profit venture, with proceeds distributed to various Estes Valley charitable organizations.
